Shred and screen
Waste from the trucks is shredded to an even size and screened once.
Sort the plastics
Plastics that burn well are pulled out to become fuel for cement kilns, then everything is screened again.
Separate the organics
The last plastics are removed so the food and garden waste left over is clean enough to compost.
Compost and finish
Piles are turned for air. After 4 to 6 weeks the compost is ready and treated with SWAT bacteria.
